  • Submission window: Submit your game any time in the month for consideration for monthly prizes. The first month is May 15–June 30, subsequent months follow the calendar.
  • Monthly Prizes: Awarded in three categories (see below). Categories change monthly.
  • Grand Prizes: Awarded to the top three games overall at the end of the season.

All entries will be evaluated based on:
  • Technical Quality: Functionality, stability, and polish
  • Creativity: Originality of mechanics, narrative, and visual design
  • Community Engagement: Social media interactions

For May 15 - June 30, 2025, we will recognize:
  • Best Character-based game: Most compelling character design and implementation
  • Best Story-based game: Most engaging narrative and world-building
  • Best Arcade, Puzzle or Action game: Shooters, Puzzles, Match 3, Hidden Object, Arcade etc.

At the conclusion of the competition season (May 15 - Aug 30), the Top 3 Overall Games will receive grand prizes.

You may develop any of the following genres:
  • Hidden Object: Puzzle gameplay with narrative scenes and concealed items.
  • Visual Novel: Linear, text-driven story with character illustrations.
  • Interactive Story: Branching narrative with player choices and multiple endings.
  • Crossing the Lane: Timing-based traversal game avoiding moving obstacles.
  • Space Invaders: Fixed-screen shooter focused on enemy waves.
  • Strategic Defense: Defensive strategy game protecting bases from incoming attacks.
  • Block Breakers: Paddle-and-ball mechanics breaking bricks with power-ups.
  • Match‑3: Tile-swapping challenges to align matching sequences.
  • Puzzle: Maze-pushing puzzles requiring spatial reasoning.
  • Mazer Shooter: Fast-paced combat game emphasizing melee mechanics.
  • Idle RPG: Incremental resource-management through clicking.
  • Character Simulation: Interactive environment where NPCs respond to player actions.
  • Slots: Chance-based game with spinning reels and symbol matches.
  • Roguelike: Procedural levels with permadeath and randomized elements.
  • RPG Adventure: Top-down exploration and combat with NPC interactions.
  • Rhythm Platformer: Platforming challenges.

To qualify, games must satisfy:
  • Full functionality and working game.
  • Polished visuals without distracting artifacts.
  • At least 25 unique players.
  • At least 100 community votes combined across Discord, YouTube, Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, and X.

Winners are announced on the third Tuesday of the following month (e.g., July 15 for May 15 – June 30).
Note that the first month runs longer from May 15 – June 30. Subsequent months follow the calendar.

Grand finalists must meet:
  • Flawless functionality.
  • Polished aesthetics.
  • At least 1,000 unique players.
  • At least 1,000 community votes combined across Discord, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, TikTok, and X.

Grand Prize winners will be revealed at the end of the season which lasts from May 15, 2025 – Aug 30, 2025.

We combine:
  • Discord upvotes
  • YouTube Shorts engagements
  • Instagram & Facebook Reel likes and interactions
  • X (formerly Twitter) post engagements
  • Reddit upvotes or downvotes (both count)
  • TikTok likes and interactions

To receive any prizes, participants must:
  • Agree to Jabalis Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines.
  • Acknowledge that we may disqualify entries with suspected bot activity.
  • Accept that competition rules may be updated; all changes will be communicated in advance either on Discord or the website.
